Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
In short: the extension does not create accounts and does not collect data about your purchases or Steam pages. Settings are stored by Chrome, and exchange rates are fetched from third-party APIs. Details below.
1. What data we collect
The extension does not collect Steam account data, purchase history, or the content of pages you visit. To work, it stores only settings via chrome.storage.sync:
- List of selected currencies for conversion
- Auto-run setting
- Preferred interface language
chrome.storage.sync is Chrome's extension storage. If Chrome Sync is enabled, these settings may be synced across your devices through your Google account. That sync is managed by Chrome, not by the extension.
To display conversions, the extension reads prices on Steam pages but does not store or transmit the content of those pages.
2. How data is used
Saved settings are used exclusively for:
- Displaying prices in your selected currencies
- Automatic extension launch on Steam pages (if enabled)
- Displaying the interface in your chosen language
The extension itself does not send these settings to our servers (we don't have any). If Chrome Sync is enabled, Chrome may sync a copy across your devices as described in section 1.
3. External requests
To obtain current exchange rates, the extension sends HTTP requests to the following services:
- kurs24.kz — primary API;
https://kurs24.kz/api/ratesreturns a general rate list - cdn.jsdelivr.net — backup source (the
@fawazahmed0/currency-apipackage) - latest.currency-api.pages.dev — backup source
Backup requests include the base currency in the URL, for example usd.json. The requests do not contain Steam account data, purchase history, or page content. However, like any HTTP request, they disclose your IP address and standard headers (such as User-Agent) to the provider; providers may process that data under their own privacy policies. The extension does not add Steam account data, page content, or your settings to these requests.
4. Affiliate links and third-party services
For users whose browser language is Russian or Belarusian, the extension shows a button linking to a third-party Steam Wallet top-up service. This is an affiliate link. The link goes through the intermediate site kishkinka.ru and the gglead.org affiliate network; the affiliate network may record the click and technical data (IP address, User-Agent, referrer, cookies) to attribute the visit to the affiliate program.
The extension itself does not set cookies or track your activity on Steam pages. Navigation happens only by explicit user action (clicking a button in the tooltip). We do not send the service Steam account data, purchase history, or page content, and we do not receive them. After you follow the link, the relevant service's privacy policy applies; we are not responsible for the privacy policies of external sites.
The affiliate link does not affect price conversion or change the displayed exchange rates.
5. User rights
You can:
- Remove the extension and locally stored settings at any time
- Disable automatic launch in settings
- Select only necessary currencies
- Use the extension without creating an account or registration
- View the stored settings on the extension's options page
When you remove the extension, local settings are deleted. If Chrome Sync is enabled, a copy may remain in Chrome Sync until you clear it through Chrome.
6. Policy changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page. For significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
